Hi sweetheart, Saturday was the first McGilly Cup. I think that it was a real success, the weather was amazing, the cricket was entertaining, the food was good, it was well organised with umpires a scorer etc, and my runs signs got the crowd involved (not that I'm blowing my own trumpet or anything). We reached our target for the fund as well, so are all really pleased. I know that you were watching over all of us, must make it a little easier for you when most of your loved ones are in one place...you can keep an eye on us all at once. It was a day that you would have absolutely loved. Being outdoors with family and friends and of course the all important sport was present. I remembered the cricket last year and have such a clear picture in my mind of what you looked like when I showed up. You had your proper whites on (well a shirt at least) but then you had you McGizzle trainers on. You were also on the beers pretty much straight away. I think that day was the first time that we did the Coat and Badge pub quiz with Chris and Kiera. I think we did really well, came second maybe? Me and Kiera must have given most of the answers! Ah yes I remember that we also drank a fair bit, only to find out later on that the others had the Monday off of work. We didn't and had to go in hungover... cheeky buggers.
